In order to further promote the integrated development of industry, education, research and application, on September 24, 2021, the College of Basic Medical Sciences, Jilin University (JLU) held a meeting with Malaysian Perfect Group. Li Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province, Wang Xiaolin, Deputy Head of the Office, Li Guanghe, head of “QIAOMENGYUAN” (innovative and entrepreneurial cluster for overseas Chinese), United Front Work Department of Jilin Provincial CPC Committee, Zhu Beibei, Deputy Director of Jilin University Office of Global Engagement attended the meeting. All leaders of the College of Basic Medical Sciences and the heads of technological R&D departments of the college also participated. The meeting was presided over by Dean Wang Fang.
On behalf of all the teachers and students of the college, Party Secretary Wang Xiaorong extended a warm welcome to the guests and delivered a welcome speech. Li Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province and Zhu Beibei, Deputy Director of Jilin University Office of Global Engagement addressed the audience respectively. They hoped that the two sides could seize the opportunity to find new approaches to cooperation and development, carry out discussions on talent training, research cooperation, and integrated innovation, and strive to cultivate high-level interdisciplinary talents to serve economic and social development.
Wang Fang, Dean of the College, introduced the school-running and achievements of the college in recent years with a focus on talent cultivation, research achievements and commercialization. He hoped that after this meeting, both sides can conduct in-depth cooperation in personnel training and industry-education integration, etc., effectively integrate resources, complement each other's advantages, and jointly contribute to regional economic development.
Li Xiaomin, General Manager, R&D Center of Perfect Co., Ltd., also delivered a speech. She spoke highly of the college’s ability in school-running and scientific research, introduced the Perfect Group and its features in research and development, and expressed her intention of cooperation with the college in R&D. She hoped the two sides would continue to strengthen communication and cooperation.
During the meeting, the participants held in-depth talks on how to further strengthen cooperation. After the meeting, the delegates of the Perfect Group visited the laboratory accompanied by college leaders. This meeting has achieved tangible results and provided an opportunity to promote the integrated development of industry, education, research and application of the college. In the future, the two sides will continue to strengthen communication on student training, internship and employment, scientific research and development and work to build a new mechanism of university-enterprise cooperation in education, employment and growth.
