The Department of Forensic Medicine of Jilin University has been established since 1984. The department mainly engaged in the teaching of forensic medicine course for the five-year clinical medicine, the "5+3" integration of clinical medicine and international students. The goal of training is to master the basic theoretical knowledge of clinical medicine and forensic medicine, and to be able to engage in forensic medical appraisal, teaching and research.

The Department had established the Judicial Expertise Center of Jilin University in October 2005, and the virtual Anatomy Joint Experimental Center in December 2019. We mainly engaged in forensic pathology, autopsy, forensic clinical medicine, forensic toxicology, virtual anatomy, auditory evoked potential, visual evoked potential and neuroevoked potential etc.
